[January & February 2026] Reflection on Illustration Improvement and Goals | Daily Schedule for Building Habits with AI
good morning!
This time,A look back at illustrations from January 2026and,Specific goals for FebruaryI'm going to write about that. Also, I've recently started incorporating A daily schedule powered by AI I will also introduce that.
What kind of strategies do you use to continue drawing little by little even on busy days?
And what kind of growth did we see in January, and what are our goals for February?
This serves as my own record, but I would also be happy if it could be of reference to others who are working hard on their creative endeavors.
January Review: My Biggest Growth and My Biggest Failures
Number of illustrations drawn in January and what I worked on

In January, I focused on one-hour drawings, but also tried two-hour drawings and unlimited-themed challenges. As a result,A total of 5 illustrationsI was able to draw it.
The reason I took on this one-hour drawing challenge this time is
I wanted to understand the necessary preparations and steps before drawing.
I wanted to know how long it takes me to draw one picture.
The point where I felt I grew the most

Try it out,"2 hours + 1 hour"I realized that this style of drawing suits me best.
Setting time limits makes it easier to maintain concentration, and the way lines are presented,
I've become more conscious of what it takes to create artwork that people will actually want to see.
Especially now,The handling of light and shadowI've been working on this as a challenge, and I feel like my understanding is gradually deepening.
Points for reflection and areas for future improvement
Points to reflect on:I wasn't able to complete as many one-hour drawings as I had hoped.Is.
My job is so busy that there are many days when I just collapse into bed as soon as I get home... "There are so many characters I want to draw, it's such a waste."I sometimes felt that way.
From this experience,
- Find ways to make the most of your time.
- About the same Nutrition and sleep are also important for the body. I realized that very clearly.
I've come to realize that creating the right physical condition to draw, rather than forcing myself to draw, is also an important part of the creative process.
Illustration goals for February
Reasons for attempting to create 6 illustrations
February A total of 6 pieces: 1 full illustration + 5 one-hour drawings. That is our goal.
In a single illustration, 「A new technology」 I try to include one of these things each time, consciously aiming to improve even just a little bit.
I know that sticking to the same drawing style will only lead to stagnation, so I want to make this month a month where I deliberately try new things.
Things to be mindful of for growth
I feel that my art still has a lot of room for improvement, and I want to actively incorporate things that seem difficult.
Techniques I learned from YouTube,I'll try out each drawing technique that catches my eye, one by one.By doing so, I hope to gradually broaden the range of what I can draw.
I'm also looking forward to reporting back at the end of the month how much I've grown.
Introduction to the tools I use for production
Why my iPad Air has become my companion
My current production partner is 4th generation iPad Air It's lightweight, easy to hold, and has a great feel when drawing with it, making it a reliable companion that I can take anywhere.
I can easily take it out and start drawing, whether I'm out or at home, so it's really helpful that I can start working the moment the urge to draw strikes.
My drawing experience and favorite brushes in Procreate

Drawing is basically Procreate I am using it.
My favorite pen tool is "Studio Pen"Initially, I used a "drafting pen," but now I only use it for rough sketches, and I've settled on using a studio pen for line art.
It's less prone to unevenness, and with a little bit of image stabilization, I feel like I can draw smooth, clean lines, which makes drawing very enjoyable.
Finding tools that suit you can really boost your creative motivation, right?
Blog update goals for February
By shifting my focus from a reading blog to an "illustrator's growth diary," I deleted almost all of the reading articles I had previously written.
the result,The number of blog posts has decreased considerably recently.
To be honest, I felt like I had hit a plateau as a book blog, so from now on I want to write more freely and in a way that is more true to myself.
I want this to be a place where I can honestly record anything I feel like writing about—illustrations, things I've learned, records of my growth, and more.
Why did you choose this goal? (Explain your reasons emotionally)
Blogs are for me “"A place where people can see what I've drawn."” And at the same time “A notebook to record your personal growth” It's like that.
That's why I want to convey so much more, draw so many more pictures, and nurture this space as a place where people can see them. That strong feeling is the reason I set this goal.
A daily schedule powered by AI
| time | Things to do | AI utilization points |
|---|---|---|
| 朝 | Getting ready and traveling | I'll have AI create a bulleted list of the steps involved in writing a blog post. |
| 昼 | Decide on some topics for the article. | Consult AI for titles and headings. |
| 夕 | Writing a blog draft | Once the rough draft is complete, I'll have the AI organize it. |
| Before going to bed | Looking back | Have the AI summarize the good points of today. |
By writing this down in my notebook, I'll decide on my daily schedule.

I have many other things I want to write about, so I'm gradually putting them into practice while looking at the notes that the AI has broken down for me.
Even if you only make progress by a millimeter each day, that's already building up.
To be honest, I often do tasks that require thinking during my alone time at work (lol).

[January & February 2026] Reflection on Illustration Improvement and Goals | Daily Schedule for Building Habits with AIDrawing is my "centerpiece."“
on second thoughts,Drawing is an inseparable and important part of my life.I realized that once again.
And by changing this blog from being primarily focused on reading to a "diary of an illustrator's growth," I decided to boldly delete the previous articles. "I want to work harder," "I want to build on this experience." That feeling is growing stronger.
From now on, I want to carefully record here what I've drawn, what I've learned, and how I've grown. I hope to reflect on my own journey and move forward little by little.
Thank you so much for reading this growth diary.
If there are others out there working hard on their creative endeavors, I would love for us to grow together at our own pace.
As long as you have the desire to draw, you will surely be able to move forward.
We will continue to update this site, sharing these feelings with our readers.
