September was a month in which we continued working on the production of the Heart Forecast respect animation.

And finally...!!

I've completed the animation that pays homage to Kokoro Yohou!!

Hi, this is Shirayuki Pochi.

This time, I'd like to reflect on September and explain why I'm making October "a month to prepare for the next challenge," as well as summarize my creative plans for the future.

A milestone is reached after a series of accumulated efforts.

October will be a month for preparation.

Looking back on my creative activities in September

Although I wasn't able to update my YouTube channel as much as I'd hoped in September, I did manage to upload quite a lot of content.

We've also included some behind-the-scenes glimpses of the production process, so please feel free to take a look!

I have completed my animation tribute to the Heart Forecast series.

After creating the clapping motion ② and the heart motion (in the Chinese dress), I was able to connect all the motions I had accumulated so far and complete it as a single animation.

The request for the Chinese dress added a special touch to the final motion, and I feel it really brought the whole piece together.

It was the moment when all the accumulated efforts came together in a tangible form.

We haven't started working on Live2D yet... Here's why

The goal I set for September wasStarted Live2D。

However, I haven't been able to get started on it yet.

There is only one reason.

With Procreate on iPad, there's a problem where the number of layers isn't sufficient when using image sizes for Live2D.

Live2D models require detailed part separation, and the limitations on the number of layers become a significant obstacle in the production process.

Right now, I'm in the trial-and-error stage of figuring out how to set up the production environment, whether to draw on the PC, and how to adjust the size.

I've always had the desire to do it, so in October I'll start by solving this environmental problem.

Creative goal for October: Create a conducive environment.

Optimization of the Live2D production environment

The theme for October is,“"Creating an environment for taking the first step into Live2D"”thing.

• What size would provide enough layers?
• Workflow when drawing on a PC
• How to connect Procreate with your PC
• Research on part separation for Live2D

Let's organize these points one by one.

The situation of "wanting to try something but not having the right environment" halts the creative process, so I want to resolve this first.

Writing a production log for the heart forecast animation.

This article will summarize the behind-the-scenes aspects and insights gained from the completed "Heart Prediction Animation" project.

I have a lot I want to write about, such as the overall production process and the techniques I used when connecting the motions, so I plan to put it into words in October.

Heart Forecast ④: Production Record of Heart Motion Drawn in Chinese Dress

This time, for the heart motion, I tackled the process of creating it entirely by hand, rather than using a looping GIF. It's a record of my trial and error, as I drew while checking the structure of the body on my own body, and as I tried to translate the charm of the costume, such as the slit in the Chinese dress and the movement of the breasts, into natural movements.

This video captures the feeling of reaching the finish line, which became apparent only in the final stages, as well as the quiet excitement before moving on to the music synchronization phase.
