After finishing the conductor motion drawing from last time, I started thinking, "What kind of clothes should I make next?" and asked for suggestions on YouTube, and I received two costume requests on YouTube.

I received two requests, and I was having trouble deciding, so this time I've decided to use a roulette wheel to make a fair decision.

So, here are the results of spinning the roulette wheel and the finished product!

The result is a maid outfit!

"Maybe I'll wear an off-the-shoulder dress for the next Heart Motion..."
That thought did cross my mind for a moment, but then I thought that the person who made the request might have been imagining a "shoulder-baring dress with the clapping motion ②," so I decided against it for now.

The feeling of unease I had right after starting production: "Something's different..."

The first thing I noticed when I started drawing was the weight of the fabric, which made me think, "Ah, this is different from her usual outfit."

While maid outfits may appear simple in design, creating movement in them requires a unique texture that is both light and substantial.

The way her skirt sways, in particular, is completely different from her usual outfits.

It wasn't enough for it to simply spread out lightly; I wanted a movement where just a little bit of the fabric's weight remained at the end of the swaying motion.

How to express this subtle nuance of weight was the first challenge I faced in this project.

"It's difficult...but it's fun...!" These were the many times I experienced during the production process.

The biggest challenge in this project was getting the ears to wiggle properly.

I was anxious the whole time I was drawing, constantly checking things like, "Is this okay...?" and "Will it work properly...?" as I went along.

Even so, when I actually tried moving it, I was amazed at how naturally its ears bobbed up and down, more so than I had expected.

In the midst of the quiet motion, the slight movement of the ears really enhances the character's cuteness.

I've felt a gradual growth in my animation work up until now, and I was happy to be involved in the production of this one as well.

Quiet applause ② Fine-tuning to enhance the motion

What I strongly felt with this motion is that there is a certain charm that can only be seen through quiet animation.

Because there was less movement, I needed to draw the swaying of the hair, skirt, and ears with more care than usual, and even exaggerate them a little.

Because motion can easily become monotonous, the nuances of the details greatly influence the overall impression of the work.

Even in the original animation, there's a moment where you can't help but laugh.

The reason why our eyes are naturally drawn to something that isn't a big move might be because of that "subtle change."

I realized once again how important this realization is in the creative process.

The Heart Forecast motion will continue to be enjoyed in a style that changes depending on the outfit.

We made many new discoveries with this maid outfit, but the Heart Forecast motion will continue.

The style of changing costumes with each scene transition keeps me from getting bored while creating, and I believe viewers will also enjoy the changes.

And I'm truly grateful to the person who made the request this time.

Receiving comments is encouraging in itself, and it's very rewarding to be able to incorporate the ideas I receive into my work.

Being able to nurture the work together like this is a great source of motivation for me to continue creating.

This clapping motion (version 2) was a project full of new discoveries, such as noticing the weight and nuances of the fabric unique to maid outfits, and how the movement of the ears could bring out the character's cuteness.

I've come to realize once again that even subtle adjustments can drastically change the impression of a work, especially when it comes to quiet motion.

And receiving requests on YouTube was truly encouraging.

The comments I receive help determine the direction of my next project, encourage me in choosing costumes, and generally move the creative process forward.

The motion capture for the "Heart Forecast" is still ongoing, so I'd like to continue enjoying the production process, changing costumes for each scene.
