Last time, when I drew an illustration of Teshima-senpai having coffee, "With this kind of atmosphere, I definitely want to draw Aoyagi-senpai too...!"That feeling naturally arose within me.

Aoyagi-senpai is quiet and cool, but he possesses inner strength and kindness.

The time I spent thinking about how to express his "quiet presence" was a very enjoyable and luxurious experience.

• We pay close attention to even the smallest details, such as the balance of colors, during the creation process.

I designed it so that it can be enjoyed alongside Teshima-senpai's illustration, so please take your time and look at it all the way through.

This illustration, like the previous one of Teshima-senpai, The tea time scene that appears in the C-part after the ED I used it as a reference. I really love that quiet and calm atmosphere, and I proceeded with the drawing while thinking, "I want to express this feeling in a picture."

Speaking of Aoyagi-senpai, his striking three-white-eyed gaze is what comes to mind.

He appears cool at first glance, but the kindness he shows in unexpected moments is what makes him so appealing, and the challenge this time was how to portray that "quiet warmth."

The great thing about fan art is that it allows you to experience character designs you wouldn't normally draw.

I really enjoyed the trial-and-error process of trying to capture Aoyagi-senpai's unique expressions and atmosphere.

Points we put particular effort into during production

The way to adjust the lighting and create shadows

In this illustration,The setting is that light is shining from the upper right.I'm doing it that way.

• Brighten the upper right side of your hair.
• Light also shines on the shoulders of the suit.

By doing this, I adjusted the image to create a natural sense of depth and a "soft, luminous atmosphere."

Carefully determining the direction of the light significantly enhances the characters' presence, so this was a point I paid particular attention to this time as well.

How to blend with the background and adjust the colors.

The background is,

• Orange and yellow highlights
• Red light

These Hard Light By layering them, we create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The areas that appear black were intentionally left unpainted to preserve the contrast, expressing the "thickness of the air" when light shines through.

Also, the direction of light is Teshima-senpai's "Light from the upper left" They are adjusted to be a pair, so that when the two pieces are placed side by side, the worldviews connect.

My thoughts and reflections after drawing it

What I learned from Teshima-senpai last time and the areas where I felt I had grown.

Thanks to my previous experience drawing Teshima-senpai, It's easy to decide on the overall atmosphere and color scheme in the initial stages, and the brushstrokes are very smooth.That's it.

I think a major area of growth for me was that I had a clear vision of the atmosphere I wanted to create from the very beginning, which meant I spent less time hesitating and was able to concentrate on the creative process.

The most difficult part this time

Aoyagi-senpai Hair color is brownTherefore, the challenge this time was to adjust the overall atmosphere so that it didn't become too cheerful.

Brown can appear much brighter when light is shone on it.

• Light intensity
• The depth of the shadow
• Balance with the background

I proceeded while repeatedly reviewing this section.

eventually, A calming atmosphere with soft light filtering in.I feel like it all came together nicely.

Tools used (iPad Air, Procreate, Apple Pencil)

This time too, my usual partner iPad Air × Procreate × Apple Pencil It was created using a combination of these elements.

The Apple Pencil is a perfect match for this, making it easy to draw even the finest details like strands of hair and metallic reflections.
